Getting Started
How do I get started with Bloomily?
Getting started is easy! Text us or click 'Get started' on our homepage. We'll set up your account with white-glove onboarding—most centers are up and running within a day.
Do I need to install any software?
Bloomily is cloud-based, so there's nothing to install on your computers. Simply log in through your web browser. For mobile, download our native apps from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android parent app).
Can I import my existing data?
Yes! We handle data migration for you during onboarding. Kids, parents, classrooms—everything. You can run both systems side by side while you switch. Most centers are fully moved in a week.
Is training included?
Yes, all plans include onboarding and training. But honestly, if your staff can take a photo, they can use Bloomily. We've seen teachers get it in 15 minutes. No training manuals required.
Childcare & Camps
Do you support both year-round childcare AND seasonal camps?
Yes—this is what makes Bloomily unique. We're the only platform architecturally built for BOTH from the ground up. Run year-round preschool AND summer camps in one unified system. One parent app, one family balance, one staff training. No more juggling two systems.
What types of programs can I run?
Bloomily supports 6 program types: Day Camps, Afterschool Programs, Enrichment Classes, Break Camps (winter/spring), Weekend Programs, and General Classes. Each can have its own pricing, schedules, and enrollment settings.
What enrollment modes do you offer for camps?
We offer 4 enrollment modes: Simple (basic sign-up), Activity Selection (parents pick activities per day), Schedule Selection (full day/half day AM/PM options), and Track Selection (themed tracks like STEM, Arts, Sports). This rivals dedicated camp software.
Can I offer program add-ons like extended care or transportation?
Yes! We support 7 add-on types: Early Care, Extended Care, Meals, Merchandise, Transportation, Activities, and Supplies. Parents select these during registration and they flow through to billing automatically.
Pricing & Plans
How much does Bloomily cost?
Bloomily has flat monthly pricing with plans sized for up to 50, 150, or 300 children. Your price depends on your center size — see plans on our pricing page or book a demo for a personalized quote.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You can start a 14-day free trial right from the site — no card needed to explore, and you can cancel anytime during the trial. When you're ready to go live with families (inviting parents, messaging, billing), you'll choose a plan. Prefer a guided start? Book a demo and our team will walk you through it and help you pick the right plan.
What if it's not the right fit after I sign up?
Every plan is backed by a 60-day money-back guarantee. If Bloomily isn't right for your program within the first 60 days, let us know and we'll refund you — no hoops.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and ACH bank transfers for subscription payments. For parent billing, we support credit cards, debit cards, and ACH transfers.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Contact support if you need to make changes mid-cycle.
Features
What features are included in all plans?
All features, always. Unlike competitors who gate features by tier, we include everything in every plan: attendance, daily reports, billing, parent apps, developmental tracking, and more. The only difference between tiers is capacity.
What check-in options do you offer?
We offer the most comprehensive check-in options: QR code scanning, NFC tag tap-to-check-in (we're the only childcare platform with this), tablet kiosk mode, geofencing, and PIN verification. Plus automatic late pickup detection and fee billing.
Do you have developmental assessments?
Yes! We offer ELOF-aligned developmental tracking across 6 domains: Cognitive, Language & Literacy, Social-Emotional, Physical Development, Self-Help Skills, and Creative Expression. Each skill uses a 4-level mastery scale from Not Yet to Mastered.
Can parents pay tuition through Bloomily?
Yes. Parents pay directly through the app using credit card (3.5%, plus $0.30 on transactions under $60) or ACH bank transfer (1.0%, $0.50 minimum, $8 max). Most families choose ACH. You can enable AutoPay and we handle smart retry on failed payments.
Does Bloomily work offline?
Yes. Our iOS staff app has offline capabilities—staff can record check-ins, activities, and notes without internet. Data syncs automatically when connection is restored.
Security & Privacy
Is my data secure?
Security is our top priority. We use bank-level encryption (AES-256) and secure connections (TLS 1.3), and all data is hosted on SOC 2 Type II certified infrastructure providers (Supabase/AWS, Vercel).
Are you COPPA compliant?
Yes. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with COPPA requirements. We collect only necessary data, require parental consent, and give parents control over their child's information.
Does your AI train on our children’s data?
No. Bloomily's AI assistant works on words and operations — drafting messages, translating, summarizing, and handling admin. It never scores behavior, profiles children, or watches them, and your families' and children's data is never used to train external AI models. You stay in control: the assistant suggests and drafts, and you decide what happens.
Who owns the data?
You own your data. We are a service provider that processes data on your behalf. You can export your data at any time, and we delete data upon contract termination as required.
Where is data stored?
Data is stored in secure data centers in the United States. We use Supabase (backed by AWS) for database hosting and Vercel for application hosting, both SOC 2 compliant.
Support
What support options are available?
We offer email support for all plans, with priority support and phone access for Premium and Enterprise customers. Our help center has extensive documentation and video tutorials.
What are your support hours?
Our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time. Enterprise customers have access to extended support hours.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
You can submit bug reports and feature requests through the app or by emailing support@bloomily.app. We review all feedback and prioritize based on customer impact.
Mobile Apps
What devices are supported?
Parents have native apps on both iOS and Android. For staff, our iOS app (iPhone/iPad) provides the full daily classroom experience — most teachers already have an iPhone they can use. If you need to purchase devices, contact us and we'll recommend the best options. We also offer a fully-managed Bloomily-ready iPad — pre-configured and shipped ready to go — for $59/month or $549/year (plus tax). Android and web browser access works for administrative tasks today, with full classroom functionality coming later in 2026.
Are these real native apps or web wrappers?
True native apps. Our iOS apps are built with SwiftUI and our Android parent app is built with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose. They are fast, responsive, and feel native—not web pages in a wrapper.
Can staff use their personal phones?
Yes. Staff download the free Bloomily Staff app on their iPhones. The app only accesses work-related data—we don't touch personal photos, contacts, or other data. Android staff can use our mobile-optimized web app.
What if we don't have iOS devices for our staff?
No problem! Contact us and we'll help you choose the right iPhones or iPads for your classrooms and budget. If you'd rather not buy and manage your own hardware, add a Bloomily-ready iPad — it arrives pre-configured and locked down to run Bloomily, so you just take it out of the box and check kids in. It's $59/month or $549/year (plus applicable tax), billed alongside your subscription on a 12-month term, and we ship anywhere in the U.S. The device stays fully managed by us: setup, email and chat support, and device swaps are included; accidental damage is covered for a $49 service fee per repair; and we replace lost or stolen devices for $399. To cancel early, pay out the remaining months on your term and ship the device back with the prepaid label we provide.
Switching & Migration
We're locked into another system. Is switching painful?
We import your data. Kids, parents, classrooms—everything. You can run both systems side by side while you switch. Most centers are fully moved in a week, with white-glove support every step of the way.
How is Bloomily different from BrightWheel?
BrightWheel is great for childcare—but if you also run camps, you need a second system. Bloomily handles both: full childcare operations (daily reports, activity logging) PLUS camp registration (sessions, activity selection, public catalogs). One system instead of two.
How is Bloomily different from CampMinder?
CampMinder is built for summer camps only. Bloomily does everything CampMinder does for camps—plus year-round childcare features they can't offer: daily activity logging, developmental tracking, recurring tuition billing. If you want year-round family engagement, you need Bloomily.
